Visual Sound Generation is a project by young people, based on the idea formed in early 2009. The idea, to give electronic music fans something new, has developed for months. The main part of the project is the website, the electronic magazine VSG, dedicated to electronic music in Serbia, which officially went online in september 2009. To be exact, VSG is a magazine which gives special attention to serbian deejays and the serbian club scene. The magazine also follows current events related to guest DJ’s as well as music festivals in Serbia that cover electronic music in their programs. The magazine frontpage is reserved for current news on the serbian electronic music scene. Accompanied by announcements and news, it provides to visitors verified information in one place.
The electronic magazine VSG is a place where quality articles can be read that announce and review a specific event. Also, the magazine contains interviews from known serbian DJ’s as well as celebrities in Serbia who talk about electronic music scene. Every text, article or interview is followed by professional photos that provide visitors with a complete visual experience. The section dedicated to home DJ’s covers their profiles and current news related to their upcoming performances. That way the fans can be precisely informed about their favorite DJ’s next gig. In the section devoted to clubbing in Serbia, the visitors can gain information regarding clubs, rafts, halls and other venues where parties are organized.
The top charts belong to the multimedia section. Visitors have the oportunity to follow up on the top ten list of serbian performers, as well as the top ten global performers. The charts are formed based on the opinions of people who visit VSG, and the result is posted monthly. There is a download service inside the multimedia section, where you can download promotional sets by home DJ’s on a monthly basis, as well as the official singles and remixes of serbian performers.
